What is JUPEB Entry?
JUPEB, the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board, is a national examination body based at the University of Lagos. It runs a one-year foundation (A-Level) programme for candidates who want to enter university at 200 Level through Direct Entry.
Candidates study three subjects that match their intended degree at an affiliated university centre. At the end of the session, they write the JUPEB examination. Successful candidates then apply for Direct Entry through JAMB and are admitted into 200 Level. They do not write the UTME.

Five O'Level credits
Credits in five relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics (WAEC, NECO or NABTEB).
Maximum two sittings
Your credits must come from no more than two sittings. Awaiting-result candidates may apply provisionally.

Is JUPEB accepted by all universities?

Do I need to write UTME?
No. After passing JUPEB you register for JAMB Direct Entry (DE) instead of UTME.
Can I apply while awaiting my O'Level results?
Yes, you can apply provisionally. You will need to submit your results once they are released.
