JUPEB and IJMB are both one-year A-Level programmes that lead to Direct Entry admission into 200 Level. They are more alike than different, but a few differences can make one a better fit for you.
What they have in common
- Both last one academic session.
- Both require three A-Level subjects that match your intended course.
- Both results are used for JAMB Direct Entry. You do not need to write the UTME.

Who runs it
JUPEB is run by the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board, which is based at the University of Lagos. IJMB is run by Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
Where you study
JUPEB is taught at university-affiliated study centres, often on a university campus. IJMB is taught at approved centres spread across the country.
Acceptance
Most Nigerian universities accept both, but acceptance can vary by institution and department. This is the most important thing to check.
